Riding an edge between seeing and feeling, I maintain a practice of watercolors created through direct observation. The locations include parks, natural settings, and banal places connected to both the day-to-day and extraordinary experiences of child-rearing. Through these efforts, I work to keep my eyes, mind, and heart connected. The resulting works record my perspective and therefore are both rooted in the physical world and shaped by the personal and subjective; they capture a type of truth.
