25 Hour Misunderstandings is about unveiling shrouded subjectivities behind presentations of information that appear to be official and objective. I asked a group of artists, filmmakers, scientists, writers and activists to forward emails, articles and headlines they came across within a 24-hour window. Formalizing the data they sent me I recreated the data on black paper in red chalk. I used hour #25 to respond by pairing it with a new subjective partner image. Each of the pair is the same size and is displayed in a book-like diptych, reminiscent of the display of cultural artifacts; data document on the left, object on the right.
